About the sculpture

This design is inspired by the scents and sounds of a landscape in full bloom; fragrant honeysuckle and clematis wind their way through trees and hedges, bees buzz and birds sing while a rooster trumpets his presence to the world.

About the artist

Cathy Simpson is a very experienced painter and illustrator; she has exhibited her work with many local and national art societies and has also contributed to several Wild in Art and other public art trails.

Cathy has a particular interest in environmental issues and wildlife conservation.
