Great Tail Trail

Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
5 April 25  – 1 June 25
Julia's House
Overview

45 giant tail sculptures are making waves across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole this spring and raising vital funds for the Dorset children’s hospice charity, Julia’s House. They are placed along the coast and in the towns and parks, shining a light on the landmarks and culture at the heart of the beautiful area.

Each of the giant sculptures is sponsored by a local business or organisation and given its own unique and eye-catching design by specially-commissioned locally and nationally renowned artists.

Schools, nurseries and youth groups get to join in the fun too, adopting and designing their own smaller Tiny Tail sculpture, all of which will form part of the main trail.

At the end of the trail, a grand farewell event will see all the sculptures brought together under one roof. The large sculptures will then be auctioned at a separate event to raise funds for Julia’s House.
