Hairy Highland Coo Trail

Perth and Kinross
28 June 24  – 6 September 24
Children's Hospices Across Scotland

Overview

A brand new Wild in Art trail came to Perth and Kinross in summer 2024.

The Hairy Highland Coo Trail was delivered in partnership with Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) and Perth & Kinross Council. The colourful trail featured 30 large sculptures in total, with each coo sponsored by a local business and decorated by a different artist.

A herd of mini sculptures formed the ‘Wee Coo Trail’ around indoor venues in Perth city centre. They were decorated by local schools and community groups.

The free trail could be enjoyed from 28 June to 6 September 2024, with the sculptures highlighting the cultural gems of the Perth and Kinross-shire region. The ‘Hairy Highland Coo Trail’ app was available to download from the App Store and Google Play to explore the trail.

A farewell weekend will take place on 21-22 September at the historic Scone Palace where all the sculptures will be placed around the gardens.

After the event, the coos will be auctioned off to raise vital funds for CHAS in support of children with life-shortening conditions and their families.
