Kingston Bear Hunt Trail

The brand-new Kingston Bear Hunt Trail was a free public art trail that promised an enchanting journey through art, adventure and community engagement.

In collaboration with Kingston First and Walker Books, the trail featured ten beautiful bear sculptures inspired by the award-winning animation, based on the much-loved picture book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury.

From 29 March to 7 June 2024, the Kingston Bear Hunt Trail invited residents, workers and visitors to explore Kingston upon Thames’s streets, parks and landmarks in search of these captivating sculptures.

Each bear has been uniquely designed and decorated by ten talented artists and the trail showcased never-before-seen artwork from five of the sculptures.
