The Short Tail Trail

Overview

A brand new sculpture art trail transformed Luton into an outdoor gallery, inviting both locals and visitors alike to immerse themselves in the free, family friendly event.

The Short Tail Trail weaved its way through Luton’s streets, parks and public spaces with 90 large and small painted hare and tortoise sculptures. It was the second Wild in Art event brought to the town by Keech Hospice Care after the success of The Big Trunk Trail in 2021.

The trail was open to visit from 6 July to 12 September 2024. All the sculptures then gathered together for a farewell weekend on 27-29 September before the large sculptures were auctioned to raise vital funds to support the essential services provided by Keech Hospice Care.
