Snowdogs Discover Buxton
For eight weeks Buxton will be home to 12 Snowdog sculptures, all uniquely designed by artists across the UK.
Discover the sculptures around central Buxton from 19 October until 15 December, after which they will be auctioned to raise funds for Blythe House Hospice.
This is an incredible opportunity for locals and tourists of all ages to get out and about, rediscover Buxton and enjoy the festive sculpture trail inspired by the animated sequel to the late Raymond Briggs’ timeless picture book The Snowman™. In the heart-warming story, a young boy builds a snowman and creates a Snowdog with the remaining snow. At midnight both of his creations magically come to life.
Pick up a trail map from the Blythe House Hospice charity shop on Buxton Marketplace, Pooles Cavern visitor centre, Pavilion Gardens café, Sacro Lounge Buxton, Buxton Visitor Centre (The Pump Room) or Markovitz Buxton.
