The first-ever sculpture trail based on Raymond Briggs’ timeless festive tale, The Snowman, took place in the winter of 2018.

Visitors saw twelve giant The Snowman sculptures painted by artists with designs in spired by the song The 12 Days of Christmas around MediaCityUK, Salford. The event raised money for BBC Children in Need.

Local school children also took part in an inspiring Learning Programme supported by Salford City Council. Their smaller one-metre-tall Snowman sculptures were displayed inside cultural and leisure venues around MediaCityUK as part of the magic trail.
