About the sculpture

The inspiration for this Toad is the plants that improve the quality of the British waterways.

It features water hyacinths, coontails and duckweed, all which filter out toxins.

With calm, rippling water across his hat and jacket, Toad provides a peaceful escape in a busy world and evokes the graceful nature of the Swans the design celebrates.

About the artist

Jess Perrin is an illustrator from Birmingham. Jess has been working with Wild in Art since 2017, and has raised over £150,000 for charities through the auctioning of her work.
