After the Music for the Senses art trail finishes, all the guitar artworks will be displayed at the People’s History Museum on Saturday 6 – Sunday 7 September 2025.
This celebratory exhibition is your chance to see all artist decorated guitars, along with those donated by music icons, displayed together one last time before the auction!
Also enjoy an Art Fair, live music celebrating Manchester’s grassroots music scene, live painting, buy official merchandise and more.

This is your chance to own a unique piece of art or a guitar donated and signed by Oasis, Elbow, Doves, Peter Hook, Pixies and many more!
Over 50 guitars from Music for the Senses will go under the spotlight on Friday 12 September at Hallé St Peter’s to raise money for the Forever Manchester Grassroots Music Fund.

The trail features 48 guitar artworks, 9 musician-donated guitars, 4 brand new murals, 2 show-stopping installations and lots more that all celebrate the people, places, moments and instruments of Manchester’s music scene.

How to explore the trail
The Music for the Senses app offers a fun, interactive way to explore the trail with a map to follow and unique four-digit codes to enter at each artwork to collect them. There is £160 worth of offers and discounts to enjoy from local businesses and the chances to win tickets and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
