Maestro Morris

Inspired by William Morris

Maestro Morris celebrates the work of British textile designer William Morris, notably associated with the British Arts and Crafts Movement.

Artist Gayani has been inspired by William Morris since being a little girl, through seeing her love of nature echoed in Morris’ wallpaper, textile and carpet designs. Her Elmer sculpture design includes honeysuckle, cornflowers, artichokes, herb Roberts, dandelion which she discovered in the gardens when visiting the William Morris gallery.

About the Artist

Originally from Sri Lanka, Gayani now lives in Birmingham and is an artist, vegan chef and ethical floral designer, whose work centres around nature, specifically flowers and plants.
