Elmer's Art Parade in Eastbourne
Elmer the Patchwork Elephant came Eastbourne for a celebratory anniversary visit – and brought 11 of his Elmer friends with him. 2024 marks the 35th anniversary of the publication of the classic children’s picture book Elmer the Patchwork Elephant.
The herd of Elmers, inspired by the town’s status as a centre of artistic excellence and home of this year’s Turner Prize, were in position from 10 February until 14 April.
Elmer also made a splash in the town when World Book Day was celebrated on 7 March.
