Overview

Introducing the first Wild in Art event in Denmark! Are you ready to follow in the Elephant’s footsteps?

From 20 June to 22 August, a herd of 30 colourful Elephants took over the historic streets of Aarhus in Denmark on a free and family-friendly trail.

All the sculptures were unique works of art created by talented artists from Denmark and abroad. A trail map and official app were both available to help locals and visitors explore the wild, touching and surprising elephants.

Behind the concept of Find Elefanten (Find the Elephant) lies an important mission, namely to articulate the “elephant in the room”, mental health.

The event was brought to Aarhus with our partners Psykiatrifonden, who work to promote mental health so that everyone has the opportunity to live a good life, regardless of whether they are mentally vulnerable, have a diagnosis or are experiencing a temporary crisis.

At the end of the trail, the sculptures gathered together on 6-8 September for a farewell event before heading to auction on 10 September to raise funds for Psykiartrifonden.
