The Big Hoot Hemel Hempstead was a free, fun, family-friendly art trail brought to you by Dacorum Borough Council and Hemel Hempstead Business Improvement district. The trail was funded through the Welcome Back Fund, which is a European Regional Development Fund, and also received funding from Hemel Business improvement District.
This exciting trail saw 12 individually designed Big Hoot owls placed around Hemel Hempstead town centre, Hemel Old Town, Gadebridge Park and the Watergardens for everyone to see and enjoy.
Each Owl was designed by a professional artist and had a story to tell.
Visitors went on a voyage of discovery through the town’s streets and open spaces and discovered something new about where they lived.
The trail could be followed using an app. Alternatively, a trail map could be downloaded or collected from the Customer Services desk in the Marlowes shopping centre.
