We're Going on a Bear Hunt Anglesey Abbey
Extended to 9 January 2025.
For the first time this winter, 10 beautifully painted bear sculptures were on display at National Trust’s Anglesey Abbey, Gardens and Lode Mill in Cambridgeshire.
The installation promised an enchanting journey through art and adventure, inspired by the beloved children’s story We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury.
From 19 November 2024 to 5 January 2025, visitors could pick up a trail map and enjoy spotting the life-sized bears around the gardens at Anglesey Abbey.
Each bear, uniquely designed by ten different national artists, artfully captured playful and thought-provoking themes of diversity, sustainability, climate change and community.
There were also interactive stations with bear-related games and challenges for children to have a go at.

Swish, splash and squelch!
Trail maps were available to pick up to enjoy splish-sploshing and tiptoeing through the woods, gardens and grass in search of the uniquely designed bear sculptures.
