Over winter 2024, London’s Fleet Street Quarter transformed into a winter wonderland with a magical free penguin parade sculpture trail in support of WWF.
From Thursday 14 November to Sunday 5 January, visitors to the city embarked on a fabulous festive adventure to discover 12 adorable penguin sculptures throughout the Quarter.
Each penguin, decked out in unique festive finery designed by talented artists, perched in iconic spots like Chancery Lane, New Street Square, Ludgate Circus and Fleet Street, adding a splash of Antarctic charm to the City.
An illustrated map created by author, illustrator and stand-up comedian Olaf Falafel was available as well as a free audio tour which guided listeners through each location while revealing facts about the sculpture designs, penguins and the World Wildlife Fund along the way.
Supporting the World Wide Fund for Nature
Each sculpture revealed fascinating facts about our black and white feathered pals and the Fleet Street Quarter, narrated by comedic genius Olaf Falafel. QR code were available to scan and dive into a treasure trove of fun facts.
By scanning the QR codes on each sculpture, visitors could support WWF’s vital conservation efforts. Donations help protect these remarkable creatures and their habitats, ensuring they survive for future generations.
